Thanksgiving-The Loss Of A Mom & The Thoughts Of A Network Marketer

Nov 24th 2010 at 10:40 AM

As I trudge through my online marketing responsibilities, trying to make income at home, offering tips, advice on affiliate marketing programs, I had my usual cup of coffee this morning.

As I sipped the strong brew, reading my paper, I ended up at the obituaries, as I often do. At my age, it's good to know I'm not in there and I have to keep up with my old friends and aquaintances.

I perused the list of names and came across a very good friend of mine's Mother. She had passed away suddenly the day before of natural causes, at the age of 80 years old.

My thoughts went immediately to my buddy, whom I have known for about 40 years. Here it is the beginning of the Holiday season and he has lost the Champion of his life.

I can't imagine how he and his family feel, with a Thanksgiving dinner planned for tomorrow and now their Mother will not be there to make it the special time they have all shared for 50 plus years. It is heartbreaking to say the least.

As I look back upon all the things I am thankful for, the absolutely first thing that comes to mind is my own Mother, who passed away 5 years ago this month. I miss her terribly and I wish she was still here with me and our family.

I will have my Thanksgiving dinner with the lady of my Life and I will enjoy the special time that we share. I am so grateful for that and so many other things, which is what the day is all about.

I am a blessed man and so thankful for all that I have, the people in my life, my health, abilities and opportunities that are ahead of me.  I have my Mom to thank for all of that. She was, after all, the first to introduce me to network marketing...:)

Please enjoy the day with your own families, but be sure to take some time and reflect on your blessings. You never know when we might see each other again and the last we will partake of a Holiday together.

Happy Thanksgiving to each and everyone.

Peace, Love and God Bless to all.
