If you want to get healthy and keep your family healthy, there are many changes that you may need to make in your home. You can go out and buy a treadmill, or you can go out and get a workout outfit so that you can go to the gym. However, there is one other purchase that you may want to make to help with your new healthy lifestyle, and that would be stainless steel frying pans. You have to cook more at home instead of eating out so much, and these pans are the best way to get the most out of your food choices.


We all know we need to eat more vegetables to be healthier, and we also know that vegetables can be very boring and very blah. This is a common thought, but those that know what to do with those veggies are the ones that love to eat them and succeed at a healthy eating plan when others fail. You can make some great stir fries at home with your stainless steel frying pans that you and your entire family are going to love. You just have to look up the recipes and learn to use pans that do not have a non-stick surface. Some things will stick, but in the long run, using these is better for your health.




There are some that believe stainless steel frying pans are far superior to those with non-stick surfaces because they do not trust the non-stick materials. These are chemicals that could cook into your food, and they also tend to flake off after many uses, meaning you are eating bits of that non-stick material that is coming off of your pan. If you use stainless steel, you are using something that has been used safely for generations in cooking. You can feel better about the meals you prepare in these pans. They are harder to clean, but you deserve the best for your body.


The trick to using your stainless steel frying pans is to use oils to keep your foods from sticking. Vegetables are notorious for sticking if you do not have a non-stick pan. Instead of worrying about it, use a healthy oil for the bottom of your pan. A tablespoon or two should be enough. Make sure you use an oil that has been proven to be heart healthy like canola, olive, or sunflower oil. There are other good ones too. Vegetable oil is not the best idea. If you use oil, and things seem to be sticking, give it a minute, they should start to come up on their own.




You can use your stainless steel frying pans to make anything you would make in any other pan, though eggs can be tricky without the right lubricant. However, you will feel better about your foods, and if you mess up and something sticks or burns, a simple soak will help you get them spotless. You can use harsher pads (like steel wool) to clean your stainless steel if you really have a burnt on mess on your hands, without worrying that it is going to harm your pans. If you have good ones, they should last you for decades.
