Splash Pages, Capture Pages, and Squeeze Pages, They Are Critical!

Jul 18th 2010 at 3:30 PM

AdKreator allows you the ability to do it all!

This is an over view of Why the Successful Internet Marketer needs Splash Pages, Capture Pages, and Squeeze Pages. Most new Internet Marketers catch on pretty quick when it comes to building a solid Internet Business as far as constantly advertising and promoting affiliate links either in Traffic Exchange, Articles and/or Pay Per Click Marketing. You have to have a way thru one or all of the above mentioned pages to not only Brand Your Self but put your words and take on an affiliate program, e-book or what ever you are marketing. We have slowly gravitated over the last few years from doing them from on Front Page and FTP'ing them to one of our GDI Sites to exclusively using AdKreator. If you are new to Internet Marketing, here are a few of the reasons behind each type.

Splash Pages:

A splash page is simply a page that you designed and created using your words, pictures, logos, and explanations of what you are promoting. When someone clicks any where on your splash page, they are simply redirected to your affiliate site or web site or even a blog. Deb and I have about ten or twelve that we occasionally use. Never be afraid to use your name, picture and your take on what your are promoting on the Internet. Eventually you will establish a Brand that will become easily recognizable. For example; Deb and I have a great friend that we have observed and done business with for years and when we simply see his picture on something, we check it out because his reputation has been long established on the Internet and we along with many others have learned to trust his judgment. I hope you understand the importance of Splash Pages and how critical they become in developing your long term reputation on the Internet.

Capture Pages:

Capture pages are similar to splash pages in that they define a short explanation of what you are promoting with enough words so that others take the action of giving you their personal information. An Important thing to keep in mind when using capture pages is that people have opted in to receive an email or news letter about a certain subject unless you explain in detail that you have captured their personal information to email them for ever as in the old The Money is in the List routine. Then make sure that you give me a way to remove my self from you list. Just put your self in others shoes and send them what they agreed to receive and don't bombard them with weekly and/or daily new deals as some do. Yeah, stepped on some toes there didn't I. Good!

Squeeze Pages:

Squeeze Pages are indeed very similar to Capture Pages with a simple exception. They give you very little information about what you are opting in to receive but they say a few words that get your attention and demand action. I will be the first to admit that I opt in to a lot of Squeeze Page, lol. I just have to know what this guy or gal has up their sleeve. I receive about 300 emails a day and Yep, it is my fault because I just have to know what you are doing if it looks intriguing. Just make sure there is a way to opt out upon request, please.

That is a quick take on my understanding and use of these types of Marketing Pages. Deb and I highly recommend AdKreator for many reasons. You are allowed to use auto responder codes, videos, pictures and they are pretty much totally customizable by you about you. This is a great way to start the Branding Process of You, Your Internet Business, as well as starting to build the long term reputation that is so required on the Internet.

Hi Sam, I like your explanation for the almost identical difference. and with the tools available on the Internet, all with or without knowledge of HTML can make these pages without problems. A useful tool is listed at the beginning of this article.

Hi Sam, These are great definitions and you simply cannot stress enough that without using them, you are dooming your online (and even Offline ) business. The whole idea is to get the contact info so you can build some trust - both ways - Once you do that, then the sales will come, but if the first thing you do is hand a person a business card and tell them what you are selling before you even know if they might be interested is killing more future sales than the current one you are trying to push the people into. Keep up the great info! MKWeb www.2gainsalesmatters.com

Hi, Sam: Thanks for providing these definitions. The line between these sometimes blurs, so it is good to note the difference. I agree with the importance and value of Splash Pages, Capture Pages, and Squeeze Pages when used appropriately and effectively. :-)
