Review of SocialSkyline.com, the website paying social media experts for their advice

Apr 21st 2012 at 9:18 PM

I started writing articles on Facebook and other social networks as well as blog promotion and find it pretty cool to get paid for my articles, as long as they get featured. When I write articles, I get paid a dollar for each article that gets featured by its editorial staff.

Also, I answer The Featured Question: The featured question is a topic that gets selected by the Social Skyline editorial staff and asks social media gurus to write articles answering the question. if the article gets selected to be included, the authors also get paid.

There are tons of websites out there that are paying for authors to write for them, but this is the first that I found that specializes specifically in social media, so I am enjoying this one as I would like to brand myself as a social media expert and I know other people would like to do the same thing.

Featured Articles Get Switched Fast and Often

It seems like they keep a maximum of 5 to 7 websites at any given time and once the author's article is featured, they get paid (as long as they make the minimum).

Other strategies of this website that I have used in the past to get featured:

  1. Get votes to the website. People vote on my articles and it seems that more votes actually tip the scales in our favor.
  2. Make original articles
  3. The more words in my articles, the more they get featured.
  4. The more evergreen content (content that never gets old and does not become dated), the more my articles get featured

Hello Bruce, I never heard of a site like this until now! I think that it's great that you get paid for something you do anyway, and getting branded too is a +! I will be checking it out, thanks for sharing. Wishing you much success in all your endeavors. God bless

Hey Bill. Thanks and I am glad you like the site. It pays social media professionals a nice chunk of change that is higher than the other sites I write for. I will be checking out your articles as well.
