Procrastination Equals Failure?
I bet many of you reading this feel that you are totally disorganized. When we are not organized we have a tendency to procrastinate. A good example of that are your taxes. I wait until the very last minute every year and then am in a huge panic to hurry and get them done before the final deadline. How stressful that is! And who created the stress? It was self-imposed. How nasty we are to ourselves sometimes. There is enough stress in our lives.
Family members have called me the world's worst or maybe we should call that best procrastinator. About 14 years ago I bought a book about learning how not to procrastinate but I never got around to reading it!
Not too long ago I came across a terrific System. It is only 14 pages long and made getting organized so simple and straight forward. Not only that, it made getting things accomplished so much easier. I actually felt relief and pride in finally getting things done.
Procrastination can create failure as rather than get things done we keep putting things off. Finally we give up on whatever we were trying to accomplish and blame some ridiculous reason for not getting things done.
Since using this System, I even made a blog - http://bevsgvo.com. Even writing this article was put on my things to do list and I am getting it done. It doesn't have to be perfect and things will improve with practice. Getting started and following through is the most important. Unless there is some action on your part, all the planning and good intentions don't do a thing.
Please take a look at my blog and if you see something you like, make a comment. I enjoy reading about which articles people like.
Have a great day!
