Plan B One Step – Prevent Pregnancy before Conception

When the woman’s birth control has failed (diaphragm slipped or went out of place), ECPs can act as birth control.
When the condom breaks during sex, these pills can be taken the morning after sexual intercourse.
Unwanted or forced sex can cause unwanted pregnancy and for this purpose pills can be taken in order to prevent pregnancy.

There are a few common side effects that may be experienced by women who take these hormone pills for preventing pregnancy.

Apart from these side effects, it should also be noted that the next period may be delayed or irregular due to the hormonal changes that the body has experienced.
