Have you ever seen that commercial on TV where the scammers set up a fake bank and offer everyone a Free $300. to open a new account... so they can get a whole bunch of people's personal information to use for identity theft?

It happens.

I'm not saying (or VirtaPay) are going to use your information for identity theft... but I took the time to read the terms of service.

(the terms at VirtaPay are almost identical)

" reserves the right to update

and change the Terms of Service from time to time and without notice. Continued use of the Service after changes to the Terms of Service shall constitute your consent to such changes".

"All account balances are held in PayBox currency. PayBox maintains a currency that is autonomous and independent of all nations and governments. The PayBox currency is denominated in dollars and cents (similar to the currency of the United States and over 20 other countries). The PayBox currency is currently in a closed system, and cannot be exchanged or spent".

" shall not be liable in any way to you or to any third-party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Service".

Plus... they don't even give an opening date. They say they are going to open sometime in 2011.

Give them your personal information if you want. Not me.

They all pay in USD's (United States Dollars).

Thanks for writing this. I at first fell for the okie dokie...Until I read the TOS. You are correct and I stopped a few months ago in referring others to the site. We don't have time for the maybe's...we need to know that 1 + 1 = 2 without all the gotcha's.

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE. There are so many people out there promoting this program. I just keep asking them if they have been paid yet. Of course, non of them have. This has looked way to fishy to me from the very beginning.....and I didn't even take the time to read the TOS. Thanks for validating my concerns.

Great catch there, Allan, I noticed the same thing when I checked them out. something that's equally troubling though if you actually read TOS's for most sites, they all say they aren't responsible for anything, and that if there is some kind of problem they caused, YOU as a user of the site are supposed to defend THEM.

Thank You for this report. I think I'd be looking over my shoulder and at the TOS constantly. It seems they want No responsiiblity from what's stated. Not good... I'm with you Allan!
