|Fruits and vegetables|
My name is Jeremy Pirkins and I'm a newly, certified Nutritionist with a bachelor from the University of British Columbia.
I was previously enrolled in Politics and Economics but I decided to ditch those once I fell in love with working out and getting the right nutrients into my body.
I started to read more and more on the topic of calories and simple carbohydrates, and how they're ruining our bodies. It was from there that I decided to go on the paleo diet. Its a great diet and has allowed for me to lose weight and increase my strength in the gym which was a huge bonus.
That being said, it's a difficult diet to sustain because you don't have any "healthy" junk food that you can grab quickly. Well, you can grab a fruit but eating so many fruits during the day can become a chore in itself. And just grabbing a vegetable wasn't going to happen, and making a salad while working at the computer was too time consuming.
That's when I started juicing and blending my fruits and vegetables. Coincidentally, I started a website named www.juicingandblending.com and decide to grow alongside it. Its been a blast and I continue to make smoothies every day. Since I was a child I had problems with my stomach so a smoothie filled with lots of fiber has helped me immensely.
As for protein, I wish I could afford to eat grass-fed beef and free-range chicken every day, but I cannot. But I strive to be there one day and become completely healthy and conscious in the food that I eat.
If you are interested in medical marijuana and its health benefits, I recommend reading up on a rosin press in order to extract oil from the plant and retaining the benefits that come with it. Highly recommended.
