Let start a debate

I am interested in knowing what you think, Am I just off base or am I on to something?

With the current economic conditions worldwide more people are coming to the traffic exchange industry than ever before, however the industry is also losing more people than ever before. It is time for owners to change their thinking and find a way to better retain more of these members. It requires breaking the mold and climbing out of the box. We need to find a way to make more of our members (surfers) successful with respect to helping them reach their goals. New and creative ways have to be implemented and I believe I have a few. The first thing I think would help is by changing what owners call their sites. It is time they referred to them for what they are PVE’s  (Page view exchanges) and started referring to TE as an industry not a site. This is going to take the help of many owners and I have to start somewhere so I will start with you. Continue reading and let me know your thoughts on the subject as I would love to hear your feedback and comments. I do understand that in the short term this may have an effect on activity of members in PVE’s however in the long run I believe it could have a profound effect on revenue drawn by these sites, More on this later.

Lets face it the larger majority of new members to the industry come in by way of a PVE. It is my belief that newer members to the industry get wrapped up into thinking that traffic exchange is a site, they get lost in the routine of click, click, click, click, click. Not realizing there is an entire industry of traffic exchange and traffic generation methods and tools they are not using. Many of these newbie’s get frustrated and leave the industry before ever using any of the other methods of traffic generation available to them. Many more are intimidated by all that is the industry, and find it confusing. A better way of reaching out to these members and educating them needs to be found. Owners not just of PVE’s but all methods of traffic generation sites and tools need to come together to work on the common cause of helping more surfers reach their goals.

One such method is the promos I am setting up. I asked why do I have to be a PVE to promote my site as the PVE’s promote each other with their promos? This is a concept I have noticed is taking root. I am not the only one thinking this, that link I sent you the other day about that link shortening site that is promising to bring 1000’s of members to your site by offering cash prize pages on your site. You don’t think he is attempting the same thing I am do you? To bring more members to his site, he is promoting his site and using the PVE’s to do it, while providing new members and increased activity to the PVE. Is that not the same as what I am attempting to do? You see I am not the only one thinking outside the box, it is this fresh and creative thinking that will change the industry for the better. With that being said I am not so sure that he has the right approach.

This is starting to get long so I will close with this final thought. I had mentioned how I believe we can increase an owners revenue with these changes and by helping more members reach their goals and becoming successful in this industry. Consider this do you know of any successful members who have time to surf? Most do not as they are too busy using all that is the industry, they instead purchase advertising on PVE’s, including credits, start pages and log in ads. If we can help more members reach this point it will mean more revenue for owners of PVE’s. Now is that not why you are an owner, to make money?

I think you are on the right track! Anything that involves people beyond the routine of endlessly clicking is going to help this portion of online marketing. ~LonnieG

Hmmmmmmmm. Very thought provoking, Anthony. You have some valid points here, for all owners to consider. Monika
