Hello all, hope your weekend went well. Just add this to my own families coverage. What's good for the goose as they say...

Is it better with your own account or a PayPal look-a-like.

As some of you will find I've been in and around the financial world since I graduated from college.

This has given me the privledge to see banking from the bankers side of the fence, as a teller and a branch manager.

The cost of banking is going up and up, especially with the financial bill that's going through.

So as a merchant what do you ?  Do you use paypal or a paypal look a like for your online or your everyday credit card processing ?

Do you use a bank ?

Do you use a merchant account broker like myself ?

Well, it comes down to a few things.

Fees are a biggie...

but 2.19% to 2.39%  (make believe numbers) on a sale is not that much especially looking at $1,000 in sales, it's only ten basis points, so it's important but not really.

Now a days business owners are looking for convenience and portability and control.

Machines are important.  We've got 'em free now, so that helps.

Software the same thing ?  Integrated with your web site yes.  All is now available.

A  good way to go is an analysis.  I have one on one of my websites, helps a merchant to know what's going on and where their money is going.

Just keep your eyes open as you go through the planning stages, ask questions.

Let me know if I can help, more to come down the pike...
