Internet Marketing Not Rocket Science
GT Bulmer © Home Business Resources
Internet Marketing isn’t Rocket Science, and with a little ingenuity and elbow grease, you can build a home-based Internet business with little or no money down.
All you need is some kind of marketing website, whether it is a site or blog on your own domain, an affiliate website, a free blog site or whatever, and then you drive traffic to the site to generate sales or sign-ups or whatever it is you are promoting.
Simple: You drive traffic to a site and generate sales of some kind. It’s not Rocket Science.
Of course, you do have to learn how to do some of these things, like where to get a free affiliate site or free blog site, or how to register your own domain name, set up a marketing website, and arrange for hosting services. And you will have to learn how to market, promote, advertise and otherwise drive traffic to your site or sales page.
All of those things are easy to learn and easy to do.
However, the challenge many people seem to have is staying with the process long enough to learn the steps, apply them effectively and wait for positive results to start happening. Either they have trouble committing for the long term, or they have some kind of attention deficiency. I don’t know.
Anyway, my point is that Internet Marketing is not Rocket Science: you set up a site or sales page of some sort, you send traffic to it, and you make sales.
The Next Level
Most Internet home business marketers are doing it part-time, just dabbling and probably not taking it real serious as a legitimate business. That’s okay. If it’s just a hobby for them and they’re happy making only a few dollars of profit a month (or not making any profit at all), then that’s their business.
On the other hand, there are a few marketers who do take their future in this business serious and are taking steps to create a foundation for future Internet Marketing success.
The starting point to taking your business to the next level, in my opinion, is having your own domain name and your own website, whether it is a static website, a blog site or a combination of both.
Yes, this will require some investment on your part. You will have to pay for domain registration, pay for website hosting, and possibly pay to acquire articles or other content to post on your site if you are not a writer. But that is all part of positioning yourself for long-term success as an Internet Marketer.
If you want to get to the next level in this business (the level where you are taking home a comfortable profit every month), then some kind of investment in both money and time will be required of you. Very simply put, that is the professional way to do this business.
If this is just a hobby for you and you are happy spending more money than you make, nothing wrong with that, if that’s where your dreams and goals lie.
If you feel you have a greater purpose in mind and your aim is to make it to the next level as an Internet Marketer, then I encourage you to get your own website, get focused on what you need to do to make it a success, and get busy making it all happen!
If you already have your own site, then examine your current plans for taking it to the next level and make some adjustments and course corrections where necessary.
It’s your life. It’s your future. It’s your call.
