Wherever you look online today, you find programs that promise easy money, or even millionaire status in a short time with little work. Don’t believe it because it simply isn’t true. Success requires work, as well as perseverance and patience.

My philosophy is this: If you have to work anyway, why not do something you really love to do? In my case that’s being an Internet Marketer who’s working from the comfort of his home. But as I already mentioned, it’s WORKING from home.

Now that we fully understand that we’re NOT talking about “3 clicks of your mouse a day is all it takes to become wealthy online,” let’s delve into what it REALLY takes to make it online.

Four things are required for really prospering online. Here’s a glimpse:

2. Build a list of loyal followers

3. Email marketing

4. Social media

There’s a glimpse of four solid methods to use in a prospering online business. Now let’s look into these methods one at a time.

Create Useful Content

When people hear the term content or content marketing, they may react by saying that they don’t write. That’s okay because many people who produce good content on a regular basis don’t write it. “What?” you may say. That’s right; they don’t have to write it because they outsource it. So now you can relax knowing that you don’t have to be an expert writer.

High quality content is going to keep people regularly coming back to your blog and info products. Helpful content is what people are looking for. Jimmy D Brown, an expert in the field of content creation says this about content: ‘Create useful, but incomplete content.’ What does he mean? Create content that helps a person, providing them with the info they’re looking for, but leave it “incomplete” in the sense of offering a product that they can buy that’ll give them the complete picture.

Can you see how that’ll put your business on solid ground? You’re giving away free info that assists people on your list, while at the time making sales from those who want more complete information on the subject.

You provide this info at your website, guest posting on other people’s blogs, and in articles that you post online. You can find good info through PLR sites or you create it yourself. In order for them to continue to return, you have to capture their contact information. You do that by having an opt in box on your website coupled with an irresistible offer, such as a free report, newsletter, or gift. When they sign up to receive more info, you send them email via an autoresponder.

Don’t neglect giving close attention to your list, because through email marketing to your list, you build relationships that lead to sales of your products, and in some cases lucrative joint ventures. People get to know and trust you, and want to do business with you. Whatever you do, don’t fail to build a list.

Email Marketing

Now here’s something that’s closely related to building a list. Email marketing enables you to form close relationships with people. Content also comes into play here because good content through email marketing will keep those on your list opening your email. They’ll anticipate each email. And because they know and trust you, they’ll buy from you, and check out any of your recommendations.

Useful content + building a list + email marketing = a dynamic and solid business that’ll last for years. We’re talking about an automated business that can set a person financially free.

Social Media

This is something that can set your business on solid ground if you use it properly. As almost anyone who uses social media can tell you, if you use it improperly, it can be very time consuming and render you quite unproductive.

Now that having been said, some choose to use social media as their main marketing platform and do very well. Keep in mind though that it’s not your platform; it’s their platform and they can do what they want. So don’t ‘put all your eggs in one basket.’ Be sure to diversify if you use social media.

Social media is a wonderful tool to use to broadcast info to those in your market. You can share valuable gems of info. And the info doesn’t have to be brand new. You can take already existing content and feature it in social media. People will get to know, trust and like you. Likely, they’ll eventually go to your site and view your content there, and see your offers.

Implement the Four Solid Ways to Prosper Online

When you implement these four things online, you’ll be amazed with the growth of your business. You’ll prosper as never before.

There’s one thing that needs to be clarified. You don’t have to employ all four of these things in your business to succeed. You can succeed with one if you do it very well. Also, the four things outlined aren’t the only important things that need to be done in your business.

With all of that in mind here’s the key point to take away. If you master the four basic points outlined, you’ll build your business on solid ground, or bedrock as it were.

So focus on these methods and refuse to get distracted by unreal promises of riches online. Don’t fall for the fake screenshots or the too-good-to-be-true claims. Stick to what works.

Provide useful content to eager consumers. Invite them to join your list and give them more. Build a relationship with your list through effective email marketing. And finally use social media in a way that grows your business and brand even more. You will prosper online!
