FIFA 16 Need More Changes
There's a lot that needs to change in the next Fifa, what you mentioned is the tip of the iceberg AI wise.
I think Ultimate Team needs to abolish chemistry rules too, and get rid of those head coach 15% shooting etc cards, as they make players have ridiculous pace and shots that they just don't possess in real life, the coach cards need to go.
The game needs to go really aim towards making elite players elite over the average ones such as Ibarbo.
A lot of this years problems seem to be each year they tweak the ball physics and the AI stays behind, so the keepers think "Ok he's just hit the ball, first i'll reposition myself to this coordinate" which results in him doing a crab dance, then he just drops to the floor and doesn't buy cheap fifa coins... same with defenders they just don't intercept as they should or anticipate.
It feels like EA innovates with the things that may be a little easier with wearing pitch and these kind of things but AI is just too far for them to grasp.
They have around 50 stats in the game for what makes a player, but it just doesn't come together accurately to build up a player. The have bio-mechanics of how a player should accelerate, and slow down, great.
They have ball physics, great. When it comes to the AI that drives this making the players make decisions and actually act like real players, it just falls apart they can't stitch together all that great animation data in realistic way.
EA needs to hire a Goalkeeping team with enthusiasts about great goalkeepers, a defending team, a midfield team, a striking team and build the best units for those specific positions that they can.
It's irritating because with Fifa a lot of the time it's about presentation, it's the spectacle of "team of the week", "pack openings" but when you get down onto the pitch its one play style of pace abuse, long shots etc with players that in real life just won't do it and it's all of the problems above that needs addressing that's why.
