Earthquake in Indiana: Staying Focused As A Internet Marketer

Dec 30th 2010 at 7:14 AM

I just survived an earthquake in Indiana!

Evidently, about 46 miles NE of Indianapolis, in Greentown, there was an earthquake this morning around 7:50 AM, Thursday, Dec, 30th. They say it was a 4.6 on the Richter scale.

That is kinda big, I guess.

Not a decimating quake by any stretch of the imagination. I don't think it raised a ripple of a Tsunami out at the retention pond behind my Condo.

I'm not even sure if it rattled any of the stuff on my walls, or in the cabinets, like back in 1986, when I experienced my very first earthquake while living in Columbus, OH.

Because Indiana is in what is called the San Madrid Fault, we do get the occasional trembler, like this mornings earthquake in Indiana.

Why, you may be asking yourself, am I even writing about this today?

I am writing about it because I didn't even feel it. Even though people all over Indy felt it in some fashion or another.

I didn't feel a thing, because I was focused..............:)

Seriously, I was so focused on my daily chores as an internet marketer this morning, that I only found out about it when I happened to log into Facebook and saw a quick news-bite from one of the local TV affiliates that I have as a friend.

I would say, that is staying focused, don't you think?

The point is that as an online entrepreneur, you have to stay focused on your goals. Keep the eye on the horizon, step by step.

Because sometimes we (and I mean myself, of course) can veer off, maybe getting sidetracked on a eye-catching offer that may look enticing. We go there to check it out, abandoning the duties that we are responsible for in the quest to be successful in our home based business.

Everyone does it.

Keep your eyes on the goal, stay focused and maintain consistency in the daily routine that will eventually get us to where we want to be, fulfilling the desire to make money at home.

Remember the old saying that Mom told us time and time again.

"If it looks too good to be true, it probably is"

Words of wisdom.

When you find something that feels real, that requires some work and effort, (not some Pie in the Sky BS that promises astounding overnight fortune), be sure to stay focused on what you need to do to make it work.

Anything worth doing requires doing what it takes, consistent effort will result in consistent rewards if you stay on track.

Even if you hear that an Earthquake around Indianapolis has occurred.....and you didn't even feel it....:)

Take care!

Dan
