Best Practice From A True Expert!

Dec 30th 2010 at 11:42 AM

Old habits are hard to break aren't they?!

The good news is that our habits can keep us on course for doing the right things.  Exercise, personal quite time and hobbies are examples of how our habits can add to the quality of our lives.

When combined with best practices, habits can be powerful driving forces for accomplishing things.  Are you open to doing things better?  Most of us just do things the same way we always have without questioning the process as it was taught to us.  So when we are shown a different way to accomplish the same result it just could turn things upside down for us.

Even though I am on the other side of fifty and have been doing some things the same way most of my life, I remain open minded and willing to explore different ways of going about things (okay, there are some things that should only be done my way!).  Want a couple of examples?  If you are like many of us then you were taught to open a banana by the stem.

So what if there really is a better way? Well, let's learn from the experts. Who better than a monkey for this particular example?

Take a look at this video and be enlightened!

How To Peel A Banana Like A Monkey!

This would have been a little easier for me to accept if it had not been shared with me by my brother-in-law! ;-)

There is another video that is easy to find in YouTube of Kishina the gorilla at Busch Gardens if you really want to get directions from the master!

You may not change your ways, but chances are you will always now know that there IS a better way!  Combine this with the 100th Monkey Story and lets see how we do things ten years from now.

Another quick example is the Chemex coffeemaker.  I love a good cup of coffee.

Chemex Coffeemaker

If it takes a few minutes longer to get a great cup of coffee then so be it!  Would that someone had introduced me to the Chemex coffeemaker and filters many years ago.

Go to the Chemex website for more details and be sure to include their filters too ... it is a synergistic process!

Yes, as with many things, you can also question how and when to grind the coffee beans.  Or even the process by which the coffee beans are roasted.  And those are additional valid aspects to trying to achieve the perfect cup of coffee.

All I am saying is the standard paper cone grind setting of your favorite Starbucks roast will be transformed when brewed in the Chemex Coffeemaker with a Chemex filter!

So, if these two examples have opened you up to new possibilities then what if there was a networking program that is as big an improvement in its respective field as the information I have provided above?  Would you want to know about it?  (you couldn't know there was a short break in writing this because I had to go start another pot of coffee after sharing my favorite coffeemaker with you!)

I have been networking as a way of earning extra money since 1978 and have seen the industry truly go through the "100th Monkey" transformation.  So while I am a dedicated network marketer, I was not prepared for what I received when I was introduced to the MPB Today program.  My schedule was full and I had a great portfolio of wonderful programs and products that I was happily promoting.  I was not looking for something extra or new.  Yet the MPB (My Premier Business) Today makes so much sense I felt compelled to add it to my already busy schedule.  The fact that I am writing this article should also clue you in that this program has risen very high on my list of business interests!

I recommend that you view a short informational video (done by a third party) and listen to a recorded call from a recent morning conference to provide you enough information for you to come to whatever is the best conclusion for you.  Listen to at least the first ten minutes or so of the recorded call and I think you will not only realize what you are being acquainted with but also a level of support that is extraordinary.

Ah, now for a coffee break!

Much success to you,

(let me know if any of the links do not function properly and I will make sure you get the details that you want)
