Be Careful of the Company You Join

Sep 28th 2010 at 12:16 PM

Many companies that do a powerline - or even a binary or a matrix - focus their promotion talk on spillover. Now, I have met people who have gotten spillover, definitely.  None of the people that were spilled over on them ever did anything! Why?

Because the promise of "spillover" creates a welfare mentality. What happens when you tell people, "Oh, get in NOW, and you are going to get spillover!" Be a critical thinker for your home-base business. Get the right training so you can be successful. Don't listen to the lies

They're afraid of losing something for nothing. So they do get in now - and then they sit and wait for all that spillover to make them rich.

These people are thinking this A Wonderful Business Plan?

It's like joining a binary because you can get a position that already has $1 million volume in the strong leg. The reality is, you don't make a dime, unless you build the weak leg, But people get so worked up about losing that "$1 million position", they join - and never do anything, and never earn any income.  The scary thing about this is the people who join are losing money.  So never forget those words, powerline & spillover. Anytime you see them, their purpose is to promote the welfare mentality. Something for nothing, something for nothing, something for nothing.

The fact is, you are in network marketing. Network marketing is a business that takes work. It's net-work marketing, ok? it's not net-free marketing. It's not net-spillover marketing. It's not net-zero marketing, it takes work. Anything you do that promotes the "something for nothing" mindset will not work.  Be careful of spillover and powerline.  Run the other way

Whatever company or whatever distributor is saying them to you, that is not the company or the person you want to depend on long-term. They will not be successful. Keep on looking. There are lots of good companies out there. Keep looking,

Great insight, Judy. A good company and support team can help in a lot of ways, yet it is wise to rely on our own efforts to actually grow our own team. ~LonnieG

What you say is true. The majority of people are in these kinds of plans, and they believe that they are having success, just because they make a few dollars. How much more could they make if they learned the truth? It's all a lie, and they need to learn the truth and get educated. Get the FREE e-book and read it. That's the key to your success.

Judy, I like this point of view. You mean it really isn't net-free marketing????? LOL, If only we could get something for nothing, it would make a lot of slackers happy. However, I am involved with one company that has spillover. I was not attracted to the company because of this fact but it is a nice dream to receive some benefits from those working hard above you. Trust me, I am not depending on any spillover to make the system work. What it boils down to is, just like you said, "Network marketing is a business that takes work." AGREED!
