Are You Eating the Wrong Foods?
With an unstable economy, unemployment at an all time high, and Americans feeling frazzled with their financial situations, the last thing any of us would like to worry about is eating healthy. With all of this stress, anxiety is on the rise, and many of us are seeking out comfort foods that give the most solace.
Some of the biggest grocery store chains are reporting that some food items have increased dramatically in sales since the recession first struck big... foods that give instant gratification, but long term regret--foods such as potato chips, candy bars, cookies and ice cream.
I KNOW, I am guilty. Along with getting at the root of the frustration, a practical way to beat this thing, is to check out healthy snack foods. . . foods such as apples, nuts, low-fat yogurt, raw vegetables, water melon, hard-boiled eggs and bananas. Of course there are many more.
From time to time, I check out a site that specializes in only healthy foods. Walk around it and see what you can find!
