Are You Born With Customer Service Skills? Series#3

Hi and Welcome,

I have been doing a Series-Are You Born With Customer Service Skills? Today I have Series #3. This is the Types of Customers.

Lets get started!

The first type of customer I will talk about is the Internal Customers-Anyone in your organization, this is anyone who you work with.

The second type is the External Customers- This is anyone who comes into your life.


When a moment of truth for a customer has been a negative experience, it becomes a Moment of Misery.

1 dissatisfied customer is 1 to many. It is like a cock roach they multiply fast

On the other hand, when the interaction has been extremely positive, it becomes a Moment of Magic for the customer  They will do business with you again.

Complaint Handling

Appreciate/ Thank the customer for sharing the complaint, Always acknowledge their concerns.

Apologize/ for the error, mistake or inconvenience. Not just with words, but body language with utmost professionalism.

Listen Actively/ Nod from time to time, showing interest. Don’t interrupt just let them talk. Pay attention and nod accordingly. Make sure you understand and if you do not ask them to repeat themselves respectively.

Show Empathy/ Put yourself in their shoes, feel what they are feeling and respond accordingly.

Get to the root of the problem, and solve it, ask them if you took care of the problem.

If not, let them know you will find their answers and get back to them with the solution. Set up an appointment with them when you will meet again.

Remember to never take a complaint personally, they don’t know you, they are just here to get service from you.

I have been in the Customer Service Industry My Whole Life, and I would Love to work with you personally. Since I started working from home I have been using all of these skills that I have been teaching and it has helped to attract wonderful people into my life everyday.
