3 Simple Tricks to Generate More Leads this 2012

January is the time of the year when we all start to plan our activities.  We set our year’s goals and objectives.  We travel more, and oftentimes we try to solidify what we want to accomplish the whole year.

But there’s another good thing I like about starting the year.  This is also the perfect time to learn more about how we can empower our business like never before; a time to better our programs and activities to get more sales, more revenue and more profit.

But before we can actually get there, there are few things we need to know and understand in order for us to save a lot of time and money while re-constructing our business platforms.

Below are 3 simple tricks to generate more leads without spending a bundle this year:

1. Take advantage of social networking channels.  We can use social networking channels to find possible customers for our business.  When we try to focus not on more people, but on more relevant people, and select only the social network where our target audience is, then we can get leverage out of this free tool. It’s also great to participate in sites that offer Q & A content for they can give us a more chance to show off our knowledge and expertise on a particular subject.

2. Target our best prospects with direct mail.  Using direct mails is still one of the most effective and least expensive ways to market our products and/or services.  Here’s how.  In business, we have our “best buyers.”  These are the people who will most likely respond to our mails, or the people who will buy the most of what we offer.  When we target them, build a list of their names, and start sending them valuable letters at least once in a month (e.g. flyer offering free consultation and the like), these people are going to hear from us more often, and we are going to build a relationship with them.  I believe these would greatly affect their buying decisions later on.

3. Blog regularly.  Patience is very important in blogging for it usually takes time before we can start seeing results from this strategy.  According to a stat, (please see here- http://lanergysolutions.com/lanergy-blog/generating-leads-through-blogging/), it normally takes more than 50 posts to see results and increase in blogging.  If you are a new in this kind of lead generation strategy, then don’t get discouraged.  Just continue blogging, and best if you do it regularly, for your work will pay off as you build a reputation with the search engines.

The 3 tricks I listed above may not be the best methods we can find in the market today, but I believe when we dedicate our effort and time in doing them, we will reap the fruit of our labor in due time.  Patience and consistency really pays off.
