Yoga for detox

Detoxification mechanism

There are three main systems of the body that play a crucial role in the elimination of wastes – digestive, circuolatory and lymph. The circulatory system pumps blood throughout the body, delivering oxygen to and carrying waste products away from cells. The digestive system processes the food we eat and separates nutrients from waste and eliminates anything that the body doesn't require. The lymphatic system collects intracellular fluid from throughout your body and transports it to the lymph nodes where anything harmful  (bacteria or other contaminants) can be removed before the lymphatic fluid is returned to the bloodstream.

Yoga and detoxification

Almost all yoga poses help in detoxifying your body by eliminating the unwanted toxins from your body. But yoga with its focus on systematically stretching and compressing every part for the body.

1. Marichiyasana 3 (Marichi's twist)

3. Legs up the wall pose
