Instructions on vaccination:
For the prevention of meningitis vaccination is recommended against the disease.
The meningitis vaccine is safe and effective, God willing, and given to children over two years and for adults a single dose while children age six months to two years ahead of two doses for 3 months.
The vaccine provides immunity strong after ten days of giving him immunity, and continues for a period of at least 3 years.
The vaccine is available in all health facilities of the Ministry of Health and health facilities as well as other government and some private health facilities that are given the basic vaccines for children.
There are three forms of meningitis vaccines, namely:
The vaccine duo (AC) and given immunity against types C and A.
Monovalent vaccine (A) and is given immunity against type A.
Quadrivalent vaccine (ACW135Y) and given immunity against four styles.
Children less than six months to less than two years are given two doses of vaccine, meningitis quartet interval of three months between them.
Children aged two to five years are given a single dose of vaccine meningitis quartet.
Symptoms may occur some simple injection site such as redness and a slight rise in temperature, but the vaccine is safe and effective, God willing.
Treatment: antibiotics such as penicillin and chlorine drugs that kill bacteria. In cases of bacterial meningitis are given this as soon as possible when the injury was diagnosed.
