How to Battle The Ripples – Cellulite Treatments

Apr 10th 2012 at 6:19 AM

Most women have cellulite, and probably all of them would remove it if they had the choice, and the money to do it. The question is, which remedy would they pick, and would it indeed work? Every year women spend millions on cellulite remedies, like creams that minimize the appearance of cottage cheese thighs. Many of these “dream creams” do not and cannot penetrate deep enough to make a dent in the dimples. Sorry ladies! If there were a chemical strong enough, it would probably cause major irritation and damage to the skin.

Sometimes, women will resort to a much more invasive and expensive procedure, such as liposuction – thinking that by removing the excess fat in the areas, that they will also rid themselves of the orange peel look as well.

Although liposuction is in fact the most popular procedure in the world, and it is very effective in permanently removing deeper fat layers from nearly any area of the body, such as: chin, neck, arms, back, flanks, love handles, waist, hips, abdomen, thighs, and knees, it is not an effective treatment for cellulite, which is a problem that occurs at a more superficial level. However, certain “lipo” techniques may tighten some skin, it does not eradicate cellulite.

There is a new cellulite system by Cynosure called Cellulaze, which is specifically designed to reduce and eliminate cellulite, but there are not many out there yet. The system is becoming more popular, so if you are willing to spend a little extra, you can find surgeons who have Cellulaze.

In the mean-time, here are a few simple suggestions and treatments you may want to try, ranging from dietary changes to body wraps:

• body wraps with special ingredients to eliminate fluids

• deep muscle massage in areas with cellulite

• machines that jiggle, pound and shake the body

• electric stimulation around the areas with cellulite

• Eat more protein, which aids in cellular repair, and exercise more
