Folic acid and breast cancer

Most pregnant women and women planning pregnancy to prevent neural tube defects in the fetus, taking extra amounts of folic acid. Also, some studies have indicated that folic acid reduces the risk

of developing colon cancer. Folic acid or vitamin B9 belongs to the group of water soluble vitamins that have the coenzyme operation. Most found in liver, kidney, green vegetables

(spinach, broccoli), nuts and yeast. The recommended daily dose of folic acid is 400 micrograms. The results of this study are important primarily from one perspective: the majority of oncology

patients is diagnosed with breast cancer taking vitamin supplements.

Research has shown that the administration of daily doses of folic acid, which are 2.5 to 5 times higher, stimulates the growth of precancerous cells or malignant cells in the mammary gland of the test rats.
