Enzymes inessential for muscle building - Muscle Seek Program

Feb 28th 2014 at 11:49 PM

Enzymes generally While chemical reactions in vitro (test tube) often need to operate at elevated temperature and pressure using the catalyst (metal), in vivo (in the organism)'s "drastic" conditions can be used. In order for the complex biochemical reactions in vivo can take place, it is necessary the presence of biocatalysts - enzymes.

The enzyme is chemically protein substances.  Nature, therefore, since the enzyme is composed of other chemicals that may or may not be protein in nature  Therefore, we can collectively called enzymes "a hundred percent" proteins, as is often the case. Composition, structure and enzyme binding The enzyme consists of two main parts: cofactor (non-protein part)  (Protein portion)The cofactor is subdivided according to the type of binding to the Apo enzyme - either a so called prosthetic group (fixedly attached to the Apo enzyme), or are familiar coenzyme (Apo enzyme is attached labile).  Apo enzyme or cofactor cannot themselves create the catalytic activity, it is necessary to their mutual binding.

Coenzyme during catalysis uses and is often formed of vitamin molecule (this is also explains the necessity of these substances in the diet).  Almost all enzymes are therefore simple, or fusion proteins.  Today they are known very much in a human cell, the number of kinds of enzymes is estimated to be 50,000.
