Effective Homemade Facial Masks to Rejuvenate Dry Skin

Face masks are the peel off products which are non-setting. Masks dot not harden or dry on the skin. They are also need to be applied for a longer time. They have a cream-like or a gel texture.

A face pack, in contrast, is a clay mask which dries after applying on the skin. They become dry after application and have to be rinsed off afterwards. They can be made at home compared to face packs that are usually readymade beauty items.

Below are some homemade face packs that you can use to rejuvenate the skin:

For Oily Skin

Cucumber Face Pack

You will need:

1 tablespoon of cucumber juice

1 tablespoon of mint juice

½ teaspoon of peppermint extract


Combine all of the ingredients and evenly put the paste onto your neck and face. Leave it for around 15 minutes. When the face pack dries off, rinse your face using lukewarm water.

Banana Face Pack

You will need:

1 banana

1 tablespoon of honey

1 teaspoon of lime juice


Smash the banana. Put the honey on it. Add the lime juice and put the mixture on your face. Leave it for around 15 minutes. After, rinse your face using a cool washcloth.

For Normal Skin

Lettuce Face Pack

Your will need:

2 lettuce leaves

½ teaspoon of lemon juice

Few drops of olive oil


Dip the leave in the olive oil and then sprinkle the lemon juice. Put the lettuce leaves on both sides of the face. Use a towel immersed in cold water to cover the face. After 15 minutes, use cotton dipped in milk to wipe the face. Wash using warm water.

For Dry Skin

Almond Face Pack

You will need:

10 almonds

4 tablespoons of full cream milk

2 teaspoons of oatmeal

2 teaspoons of China clay

1 teaspoon of lemon juice

1 mashed avocado


Mix all of the ingredients. The China clay is used because it acts as an exfoliating agent that helps eliminate skin impurities. Put the pack on your face and leave it there for about 20 minutes. Use a damp cotton wool that is immersed in cold milk to wipe off the mixture. Wash your face using cold water.
