Concerto fine cuisine at affordable prices in the restaurant of the Athens Concert Hall.
The place: The restaurant has its own separate entrance from the street Kokkali 1 while elevator leads directly there from the basement parking. Only thus does not pass through the magical garden of the Palais ... Sitting in the lobby of the rotunda «Fuga», you can stare the night lights of Athens from the huge glass windows.
The atmosphere of this restaurant with the 'quiet' design, the iconic building of the Concert Hall, could be located in a skyscraper in New York or in some northern capital - however, it is two steps from the square Mavilis, from where we started our evening. So far we had only visited after the end of a performance of the Concert, this time simply craved ... «Fuga». http://cfcstudio.com/story.php?title=connective-tissue
The food: The new era of the restaurant, with the tight menu proposed Mediterranean dishes high level, but not at all sophisticated, and relevant friendly prices suit us much. It is the perfect "dose" luxury for the exits this difficult time. We started with a haste plateau Italian sausage with parmesan crisps bread and fig jam, a mini dish with buffalo milk mozzarella with tomato jelly and basil dressing and a herb salad with parmesan and aged balsamic.
It was all excellent, with staff favorite tiny bites of cheese (photo) who hid inside their fragrant ntomatenio jelly. From the main courses we chose pork frame with mushrooms, potatoes confit and truffle oil (a nice "winter" dish that lifted the night), the roast cod with celeriac puree, green onion, lemon and coriander (the best versions of fish moving in town) and the burger Fuga, with exuberant entrekot beef, exquisite baked, handmade mayonnaise and Dijon.
Account: Calculate around 30-35 euros per person.
The wine: The wine list includes Italian labels, and there are two choices by the glass.
Additional Information : Open daily from 8 pm It has parking, but alternatively you can use the blue metro line and get off at the Music Hall.
