Can chocolate aggravate acne? There are foods that help us fight it?

Acne is an inflammation of the follicle and skin glands that produce fat and involves the accumulation of sebum in the pores , which surround the hair . Usually associated with the normal process of maturation of young people and the reason for this is very common in puberty .

More than 80 % of adolescents experiencing acne problems . The occurrence of acne is a result of the influence of various factors, such as inheritance , hormones, excessive growth and other microbes that have not yet been investigated . It is advisable to follow a balanced diet, which may include the daily consumption of many fruits and vegetables as they are rich sources of vitamins and antioxidants and consume in moderation sweets and other sugar sources .

Food- allies in the "war" against acne

Cucumber: The skin of the cucumbers are rich in silica, which prevents the appearance of blemishes and maintain the proper level of collagen in skin . Cucumbers because it is rich in water, not only refreshing , while maintaining skin properly hydrated .

Beetroot : It is rich in vitamins A and E , which are known to improve the skin. The combination of vitamins and potassium, calcium and magnesium contained in beetroot , lowers cholesterol levels , cleans the body of toxins and therefore the skin of acne.

Citrus fruits (oranges , lemons, grapefruit ) , papaya and tomatoes : They are very rich sources of vitamin C, which has strong antioxidant and cleanses the body and skin of toxins.
