Choosing A Doctor

Dec 26th 2013 at 1:47 AM

doctorThis may be the most important decision you will do after taking the decision to add to your family. The doctor you choose will be the opportunity to put his future son in. Ask yourself this, what kind of doctor do you want? One that will answer your questions as far as I understand, take your calls, regardless of the reason, tell them what is happening, and is willing to take steps to help you achieve pregnancy measures.

Or a doctor who really does not answer your questions, the nurse must take and respond to your calls and then dances around what is happening by telling you to keep trying and stop worrying. Yes, I would get the first one too! So how do you find a great doctor? Easy! Interview them! As soon as you and your partner decide that you would like to add to your family, start the interviews. You and your spouse need to get to a list of questions that are important to both parties may request the medical future. You already have a doctor? Great! Now ask yourself, are you satisfied with your doctor? Do you feel that your doctor is doing everything possible to help you? Can come anytime your doctor? If one of your employees and acted been treated in the same way your doctor does, would give an increase or a fire? If you really, and I mean really, you give up, then you have the best doctor you can find. If, on the other hand, you do not fire him, THEN DO IT! Enter your office and tell the staff that you need to see your doctor. So why tell you are not satisfied. If your doctor is willing to do more for you, then give it another try. If you try to brush you off, tell him he is shot and you want your entire medical history NOW! Do not leave the office without them in your hands, or without being transferred to your new doctor. That was the first step in choosing a doctor.
Second step is to get referrals from friends, family and coworkers for a / GYN (or RE) gynecologist. Take five doctors that were given to you the most. Call their offices and let them know you are interviewing for a new doctor. All good doctors are more willing to sit down with prospective patients. Try to get as many lined up in a day as possible, and if you need to interview more than one day, do not let it over two days. Make a list of questions, and enough copies for all interviews. Leave enough space between each of the questions for notes. Both you and your partner have to go to interviews. Both of you need to feel comfortable and trust your doctor. This is the person who will be your baby into the world and making sure both are healthy. Third step is to choose a doctor once the interviews are over. It may be obvious to some couples that doctor is the best option. Others may not see it as an easy option. For older is best to take the top three names written on pieces of paper and put the papers in a hat or other container that can not be seen through. Draw a name and that will be your new doctor.

Not happy with the choice? Then it was not the doctor that you really want to see. If you get a name and are happy, then that is the doctor for you. Once the decision has been made, call your doctor again. If there was no need to change doctors, call your doctor anyway! Now is the time to make your appointment. This will be a preconception appointment and tell them when you need to call schedule. This procedure for finding a physician can also be used if you and your partner feel it is time to find a reproductive, or any other medical endocrinologist. I wish you all good luck in finding the best doctor!
