Allergies during pregnancy

Dec 28th 2013 at 2:21 AM

pregnancyIf you or your partner suffer from allergies (asthma, eczema, hay fever) may be helpful to avoid foods that may cause allergies in the baby.
However exclusive breastfeeding is very important to prevent or lessen the severity of these allergies;
Learning the technique of manual expression of milk may be useful, and will boost your confidence, after delivery, when you need to use.
During pregnancy: care with boobs and nipples
The size, shape or symmetry of the breasts before pregnancy has little to do with the ability to breastfeed.
The largest contribution to the variation in size of the breasts is the fact that surrounds the breast tissue but has no role in the production of milk.
In the course of pregnancy your breasts will undergo changes, getting bigger and heavier.
The area around the nipple (areola) will become darker and more sensitive as a result of preparation for milk production. Some women may experience a more sensitive skin, which is irrelevant to breastfeeding, and will resolve spontaneously in the first weeks after birth.
The growth of the breasts during pregnancy is a good indicator that they are preparing to produce milk
You do not need to do anything special to prepare your breasts for breastfeeding, such as massages with creams, rubs or expression of colostrums, nor is it necessary to "harden" the nipples.
Wash your breasts with water without soap (not to remove natural oils from your skin) for your daily hygiene. Use a comfortable bra, not tight.
