Many people do not realize the importance of increasing their height at their younger age, therefore it becomes harder to grow extra inches when our body has stopped growing. Being taller do have a lot of advantages, for example taller people are more confidence because they are physically stronger and look better, also they are easier to get their dream jobs that might have certain height requirement such as basketball player, fashion model or flight attendant. But the good news is that even you have missed the best period to grow taller, there are still ways to increase your height no matter how old you are.

1.) Healthy Lifestyle

Living a healthy lifestyle is very important to our body not only to decrease our chance to get sick but also help our body to recover and grow faster. First, do get enough sleep because our brains will release Human Growth Hormone (HGH) when we are in deep sleep. An average adult requires at least 8 hours of sleeping every night, getting enough rest helps our body to work at the best performance.

Eliminate bad habits such as drinking alcohol and smoking, these bad habits will definitely destroy our health and affect our growth.

2.) Balanced Diet

Having a proper diet is like putting the right fuel into our engine, without the amount of vitamins and nutrients we needed, there is not enough for our body to grow taller. Vitamin D plays an important role as it helps to absorb calcium which is crucial to our bone's health and development. Food such as Dairy Products, Mushrooms, Tofu, Eggs and Caviar all contains rich vitamin D.

3.) Play Sports and Stretching Exercises

Involving in sports like basketball, volleyball or rope jumping are great ways to help you increase your height especially when you are teenagers. Keep a good habit of playing these sports at least two to three times a week and also do some stretching exercises that will help to improve your posture and flexibility.
