Advantages and disadvantages of using machines:

allow to maintain a more constant level of effort during the course of the year,
facilitate the isolation of a muscle,
are easier to use and adjust,
give more variety to training,
allow the possibility of using various electronic features, and additional support,
on the contrary:
are less effective for strength development,
absolutely do not favor the work of stabilizers and synergistic muscles,
restrain movement,
are much more specific (to train my entire body would need a multitude),

are very expensive and take up much space. Total Gym XLS Trainer

Given these considerations, it seems to say, without possibility of contradiction that, in general, proper training should include the use of both the weights and machines, especially when trying to improve strength is certainly preferable the use of weights, while, for muscle toning directed to the welfare of the body, it is advisable to contact the machines.
