No counting calories - If you're a fan of the Mediterranean diet, you will not be counting calories or forbid myself to eat some kinds of food. Instead, you will change the bad fats for your heart, and to healthy olive oil instead of butter, fish or poultry instead of red meat; enjoy fresh fruit instead of sweet, beautiful desserts; and eat your fill of fragrant vegetables and beans.
Nuts are the basis for this diet, but do not eat them too much, a handful a day is enough. And yet, you can use whole grain bread and wine in moderation.
The food is really fresh - When you eat, as people of the Mediterranean, you will not go to the store shelves along with frozen food because you do not eat fast foods and you do not visit.
The emphasis of this diet - fresh seasonal produce, cooked simple way but very appetizing. Create a delicious spinach salad (or salad), cucumber, tomato, and classic Greek ingredients such as olives and feta cheese ... and your quick easy Greek salad ready.Or cook in a hurry colorful, vegetarian, cold tomato soup gazpacho.
