From skiing to snowboarding, there are few experiences in life that can match the exhilaration of strapping on the boards and hitting the slopes on a sunny winter day.

But extreme snow sports aren’t all just fun and games. There can be some real risks involved as well. Proper training and equipment are of the utmost importance when hitting the slopes this season. Along with the regular gear, such as a well fitting boots, gloves, pants and jackets, a good helmet can be the best investment amateur athletes can make.

The National Ski Patrol recommends that skiers and snowboarders should always be prepared for everything from frostbite to avalanches. Carrying emergency items with you, such as avalanche transceivers, probes and shovels, can mean the difference between life and death. Skiers and boarders should always be prepared for foul weather, by dressing in layers of "breathable" materials. And don't forget the sunscreen. This may not be the beach on a hot summer day, but you can still get a serious burn from the sunlight reflecting off the snow.

Accidents and bad weather can still catch you offguard even when you're well prepared. If your business provides facilities or books tours for extreme sports such as heli-skiing and snowboarding, protect your company and employees against legal claims with this High Risk Sport Release and Waiver form. In order to take part, participants must sign the form to waive their rights to claims, both now and in the future, against the company providing access to the activity. offers a variety of Release and Waiver Forms for different activities and businesses.
