Kevin Shea Retires From Racing

Jul 3rd 2015 at 1:03 AM

Kevin Shea one of the most famed jockeys in the world has been forced to retire from his lavish racing carrier due to medical problems. Accor riding to Shea the main reason behind his retirement from the sport is the problem with his back. Shea has been having back problems for a long time and it turns out that these problems are getting complicated due to his carrier. He has been riding horses for a really long time and this much time of horse riding obviously has some toll on one’s health. Shea made his final decision to end the 37-year long carrier after long consultation with his trainer, doctors and neurologists. His retirement is for his own good and he has almost achieved all he had ever wished for himself.

Shea’s prestigious time started way back in 2003 when he won when he won the Dubai Duty Free. After this amazing event he has been appearing in many great races from all over the world regularly. His second most prominent victory in Dubai came later in his carrier in 2008 when he won the Dubai Sheema Classic. His amazing performance in Dubai made him a start among the Arabs and he was among some of the top jockeys that Arabs preferred to be in their races. He was the star in South Africa where no other jockey could compete against him and he will be a star for a long time after his retirement.

Shea also has an amazing record in other countries such as Great Britain and France where he was considered one of the best jockeys. One of the most famous incidents in Shea’ s carrier was the one in 2010 Dubai World cup where a wrong announcement said that he has won the race, he went celebrating but later on he learned that he had lost the race by a minor margin to Gloria De Campeao.

Shea was among the top choices for people to bet on in horse racing betting. Bets placed on Shea meant a lot to people because people always expected him to perform well and that’s what he always did to keep his fans happy. Shea’s replacement will be not as great as hi but horse racing betting fans will have to learn to move on and respect someone like Shea who has given his entire life to racing and never disappointed his fans at all.
