Here's how to follow their SOLUTION

The Chicoine family of Wakefield, Quebec hopes that their 10-month run spanning Canada and the United States helps to start a “wellness revolution” and spreads awareness about health and preventable diseases such as obesity and diabetes.

Chicoine family, from Quebec, has just finished running across Canada and down Maine to Portland, in what will be a 13,000 mile "Marathon of Health."

It was their dad's idea - a chiropractor who says he wants to inspire people to live healthier lives through fitness and nutrition. He also has always dreamed of running across Canada and the U.S. His kids decided to join him in what they call a 'wellness revolution.'  After leaving Maine in a few days, the family's next stop is New York City.

While crossing the continent twice, the family of eight is visiting local communities to inspire people of all ages to make positive changes in their lives through fitness and nutrition. They have set a goal of raising $5 million to support three main charitable organizations, all of which promote those values in children; Right to Play, Kid Sport Canada and Get America Fit.

They began their journey in Vancouver on May 8. They are the first family of 8 to work together as a team and running in relay fashion to cross Canada, from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic. They crossed into the United States on Sept 28 and will be running down the eastern seaboard to New York City, then to Washington DC, head down to San Antonio, west to San Diego and back to Vancouver B.C. where they started.
