Half Ironman series
Ironman is a series of a triathlon that includes swimming, running race and cycling similar to other triathlons but has a certain fixed total distance of total 70.3 miles. So, it is also known as Ironman 70.3 competition. It is organized by the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC). The Half ironman championship of 70.3 miles and 113.0 in km total basically contains of a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) swimming, a 56-mile (90 km) bike ride, and a 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run. So, as it is called a half ironman championship, it all covers half the distance of that segment in an Ironman triathlon. It is held each year as a World Championship competition. The main event of half ironman or Ironman 70.3 is held after prior qualifying rounds and events which takes place in preceding 12 months and then finally in a single competition. Different Training Programs
In order to participate and win in a half Ironman, the contestant has to be very prepared and trained all along. Half ironman event may also act as a qualifying step for the full marathon that I held in Hawaii. There are usually pre-events to qualify the final competition and the contestants may score good scores beforehand at that time for the better result. For that, they have to run the races in very short time along with cycling and swimming. It will be easier if they are the professional as they can do it in a very short time or else, for the beginners, a heavy practice or training is required. There are various training programs for ironman championship held in order to perform better in the competition. In training, they can learn basically the time management aspect, and complete the races and distance in a very short and limited period of time. They can also increase their speed by constant practicing and building up more skill levels through expert training and better-advanced tips & tricks. Training for Better Results
The training programs are for a limited time series and include various factors of training in it. The ironman training usually has a full training package of racing preparation, tasks and event training, physical health, mental health and efficiency increasing activities. So, one can always take a training course and increase their efficiency in order to participate in half triathlons and win. It can also be a step to compete in the full ironman championship; the contestants should have a great practice and efficiency. If qualified and won in the championship, the winners can compete for the full course of ironman championship series and other triathlon series as well.
