A pad that is 2.5 inches thick and that is extra wide and long would cost up to $250. But a pad that is 1.5 inches thick and medium in size would cost less than $150.

A medium size pad is sufficient for an adult but if you want to make a large work out area then you can tape two medium size pads together and in this way make a large exercise are. The can be connected using tapes. Never try sewing the pads as sewing would puncture the pads.
