Lena Dunham oozes sophistication in unusually demure floral shift dress
She bared all for a revealing topless shoot with fashion bible, Harper's Bazaar.
Yet Lena Dunham was rocking an entirely different look when she put on an extremely demure display for the Revolution Annual Fundraising Gala in New York on Thursday.
The 29-year-old actress and writer looked stunning in a floral shift dress, which she paired with round-toed court shoes while slicking back her pixie crop.
Featuring a black body and a leafy floral pattern, Lena's choice of garment proved to be an elegant choice for her red carpet evening out.
The positioning of the pattern gave an illusion effect which slimmed the talented star's waist and gave her a sensational silhouette.
Lena paired the look with an elegant pair of round-toed patent heels - adding to the ladylike overall effect of the ensemble.

Lena slicked her cute pixie crop into a 1920s-style do which featured a dramatic side parting and mounds of product to achieve the slick finish.
The Girls creator's make-up was characteristically minimal, with just a lick of mascara and a slick of eyeliner helping highlight her pretty features.
Opting to forego jewelry for the night, bar two delicate rings, Lena allowed her permanent adornments - her tattoos - to be her focal accessory.
Joining the star on the red carpet was reclusive singer Sia, who wore a huge bow over her face and pulled her hair forward to mask her features.
Sia is known for masking her face and avoiding the media glare although once inside as she sat with Lena, she removed her cover to show her face.
Lena's boyfriend, Fun. singer Jack Antonoff, also attended the event in typically casual garb comprising of a slogan T-shirt topped off with a burgundy shirt.
Images surfaced on Thursday of Lena stripping off in the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar - going topless in a photoshoot for the magazine's 'daring issue'.
She is seen with her arms draped around her torso protecting her modesty as a sign hangs around her neck reading 'please do not handle'.
In the accompanying interview the Girls actress and producer talks about her upcoming milestone birthday.
'I'm so excited about turning 30. I'm psyched about it because I think that being in your 20's – especially as a woman – there's an inherent tension.
'Ageism exists in all direction, but it isn't the sweet spot for being taken seriously in the workplace. I've been really lucky. I got to do a lot of things before I was 30 that most people don't.'
While she exudes a self-assured air, Lena revealed that she's not immune to online criticism.
'I’ve been put to bed for weeks from reading things about myself on sites that used to be considered feminist gospel.
'I love the Internet because it helped me discover everything that matters to me. But I also hate the internet because every piece of true pain I’ve experienced as an adult – with the exception of death in the family and breakups – has come from it.'
