Get the look: Daisy Ridley - Star Wars: The Force Awakens LA premiere
If you don't know who Daisy Ridley is yet, what rock have you been hiding under? Certainly not a Star Wars shaped one. The British performer is the unknown actress who has been thrust into the limelight thanks to her starring role as Rey in J.J. Abrams' new Star Wars feature, The Force Awakens. The hotly-anticipated adventure has finally hit cinema screens, and Daisy has been stunning at the movie's premieres around the globe.
For the Los Angeles premiere, the 23-year-old wowed in white, donning an ultra-feminine custom Chloé gown, Graziela Gems jewels and Christian Louboutin heels. While her short hair wasn't overly styled, Daisy went all out with her make-up - especially her eyes.
A smoky eye works all year round, but it's particularly dramatic during the winter months. GOSH make-up artist Pernille Buhl let us in on how to perfect the effect.
"Product wise, you start out with a kohl eyeliner and you add it just around the lashes," she told Cover Media. "You take a little hard brush and then you massage it out, so it's not that defined. Then you start adding your eyeshadow. You don't have to do a smoky eye in black, you can do a smoky eye in any colour you want. It's just the technique called smoky eyes. So you add the kohl and the colour you want, take it up towards the eyeball line. You make it intense in the bottom and less intense in the top. Then you start adding eyeshadow in the bottom and you drag it out upwards. A lot of mascara."
Daisy stuck with dark colours for her eyes. MAC's eyeshadow in Print is an ideal slate grey choice, or go for Bourjois Intense Smoky palette for a blended look.
Daisy added a slight shimmer to her matte foundation, with peach blush marking a change from the usual pink hues favoured by many. Clarins Blush Prodige Illuminating Cheek Colour in Soft Peach will give you a nearly identical shade match, plus it has the added hint of shimmer Daisy rocked.
With such bold eyes, Daisy kept her lips looking natural. If you don't want to leave your mouth completely sans make-up, use a lip crayon to get a subtle burst of colour. Rimmel's Lip Crayon in Give Me a Cuddle will do the job perfectly.Read more at:graduation dresses uk
