Cup Day fashion splashes array of colour
An array of colours were splashed through the fashion scene at Cup Day, but it was a cream dress that won the judges' hearts.
Gold medal-winning Paralympian Sophie Pascoe was among the fashion judges at Tuesday's event who were looking for sharp and sophisticated dress choices.
Maria Wright won best dressed lady with an elegant cream dress.

"My dress, my mum made for me. We designed it together; I bought the fabric in Sydney," she said.
"We started a few months ago and then in the last six weeks it has been assembled and fine-tuned right up to 9pm [Monday]", she said.

Maria Wright and Peter Grooby take out best dressed at the New Zealand Trotting Cup Day 2015.
She had entered the best dressed competition for the last five or six years, but this was the first time she had won.
Best dressed man Peter Grooby wore a Dom Bagnato suit, while his waistcoat, shoes and shirt were from Ted Baker.
"I think it all started with the waistcoat and the shirt. My wife and I went on a shopping trip to Ballantynes; we put together the waistcoat, shirt and tie combo, then we were looking at mixing and matching things to go with it."

Grooby said he liked keeping up with how people were dressing and "what was going on in the world".
It was not the first time Grooby had taken the top spot in men's Cup Day fashion – he won the competition two years ago.
"Maybe I should quit while I am ahead."
Stacey Goodall is "ecstatic" to take out the body art conception at this year's Cup Day in Christchurch.
Best dressed lady runner-up Katie Flett wore a Sonila custom-made dress and shoes from Nine West.
Stacey Goodall won the body art competition for the first time in five years of entering.
"This has been my goal since I started make-up artistry in 2011 and I am absolutely ecstatic."
Goodall's mother suggested she do a kiwiana-themed design because many people would be able to relate to it.
"It's colourful, bright, and happy", Goodall said.
The New Zealand flag was draped across model Michelle Dampier's shoulders and various iconic cartoons such as Footrot Flats, the Chesdale brothers, and Maori designs were swirled around her limbs.
Dampier was escorted among the punters on Tuesday afternoon so they could admire the painted body, which took eight hours to create.
