Are you aware Tea is the most consumed beverage on the planet next to water? There are so many types and flavors you can enjoy a different one everyday. Black, White, Green, and Herbal are some of the basics.

It is said tea has been around for 3,200 years. That's a testament to is appeal to us humans.
It's first found in literature in 500 BC. That far back they new of it's medicinal property's.Tea can influence our health  and mood. Here in the present the academics go pro and con on the truth of this matter. The chemical make up does include Antioxidant, Catechins, Theobromine, Theophylline, and even Fluoride. Well enough of this mumbo jumbo.

Beside brewing a cup or enjoying it iced, tea is used in many product you might not think of. Tea is used as a flavoring in many chocolates and candies. Deserts like Swiss Rolls, Cookies, Puddings, Mousse, and Cheese Cake. The breading for Tempura also could have tea added. Tempura is considered an art form. Seafood and vegetables deep fried are most popular. Rice flower is used. Very light and crispy. It's not so difficult. You just have to keep everything cold and fresh.
A number of cafes have introduced lattes and iced drinks using matcha powder. It has also been incorporated into alcoholic beverages such as liqueurs. (matcha is a green tea that comes from Japan.)
You are consuming tea and don't even know it!

In Japan several deserts are dedicated to this flavor (motcha). Even Ice Cream.

Teapots are relatively a new invention compared to the amount of time that tea has been around. It appears in the 1500s. In the 7th century, tea came in bricks. A chunk was cut off and then broken up so that it can be boiled in water. They were boiled in cauldrons and then the tea was sipped from wide bowls. Bags first appeared in 1904 and were made from silk. The best teas sill come in these silk bags. Now tea sets can become treasured items. Becoming family heirlooms and passed down from generation to generation.

You will always find a picture of tea in my fridge. I enjoy iced tea all most every day. Sun tea is a favorite in summer. It is said, and I find it to be true, brewing your tea at a lower temperature gives it a better flavor. Boiling causes more oils to come out makes the tea bitter.

On a quick note since spring is here and allergy season in upon us there is a lot of talk about Nettle Tea  soothing symptoms of allergies. It is inexpensive and really works.
