So what are the best foods to lose belly fat?
The variety and choice of very tasty foods are a lot simpler than you may think.
Let us clear up a few things first though.
You can not actually lose excess body fat from just one area of the body.
You're overall body fat percentage must be reduced in order to lose belly fat.
So why do most people have some degree of belly fat? It can be difficult on times to control the food we eat especially our calorie intake, which is on average 2,000 calories a day for the average person due to pressures of everyday life.
The 2,000 calories are roughly what the average person usually burns in a day Therefore the foods we eat can become a serious problem One of the big problems regarding the food we eat in modern times is that it can contain too many preservatives and additives which can and will cause weight gain.
There are many products on the market today that contain high levels of fructose, for example corn syrup Corn syrup is the main ingredient in many soft drinks and is also found in many high fibre breakfast cereals Simply put it is a lot cheaper than sucrose which used to be the main ingredient This high level of fructose is the main cause of weight gain as it converts to fat much quicker than sucrose does
So, just by cutting down on your fructose intake can significantly reduce weight gain and body fat By simply reducing your soft drink intake, or even eliminating it all together can allow you to lose around 40 pounds of excess body fat in just a few short months
So what do we do once we've decided to give up soft drinks? There is a much healthier and cheaper alternative. What about trying some green tea for example.! It can even be brewed, then cooled and used as iced tea too. Green tea has been proved to raise your bodies metabolism and actually help burn fat.
Here are some good examples for a healthy and varied diet....
Turkey and Chicken (with the skin removed of course)
Citrus Fruits, pears, Berries and Apples
Hot Peppers, cauliflower and Broccoli
Oily fish such as sardines, tuna and salmon, all which are high in Omega 3,
that actually aid in the fat burning process.
Nuts and Olive Oil which contain non-saturated fats
Whole Grains and Oatmeal
Foods high in protein such as Beans, Eggs and Natural Peanut butter( less additives than the regular kind)
You do not have to cut out all the foods you enjoy, but simply reducing the amount of calories will help in the fight to lose belly fat.
