Who Is That Dude Sergei Neverov Anyway? :-)

Hello there! Let me introduce myself and tell you a little about my persona )))

Well, here we go. My name is Sergei Neverov and I’m an Internet Marketer. What is more, I’m Russian! I hope this doesn’t scare you LOL. I am extremely fanatical (in a good sense) about saving as much time as possible by delegating many different tasks to automation tools so I’m able to accomplish more goals at the same amount of time. Therefore I’m in the constant search and testing of all the good tools out there. I even created a special blog dedicated to this.

Russian Florida

I live in Russia, currently in the southern part of it, in the city on the Black Sea coast called Sochi. You may have heard of this city as it’s gonna be the Winter Olympic Games capital in 2014. It’s a little bit strange, cause Sochi’s climate is very warm, just like in Florida, it doesn’t snow often here. “So how the heck are they gonna conduct Winter Games in there?” you may be asking… Well, Sochi is located very close to the Main Caucasian Range and that’s where we can find lots of snow! There are certain times in a year when you can swim in the sea, then jump in the car, drive for about 40 minutes, put your skiing equipment on and hit the slopes. Pretty cool, huh?

Anyway, let’s go on… I live in Sochi with my wife and two kids. Believe it or not, but my children are the main reason I’ve become a full time Internet Marketer. But first things first…

Default, devaluation and stuff

When I was 15 my father sent me to the US for my degree. It was an awesome experience and checking for my strength. My father supported me only my first year in college, then I was totally on my own. So I had to earn some money. And I did. At first I found an on-campus job, then I got a special work permit so I could work off-campus. During summer breaks I would work for a book company selling nice books for kids. It was fun. And profitable too. I was able to pay for my tuition and all other expenses.

By the time I graduated and came back to Russia, I had some nice savings in my account. It was the year of 1998 and I had some super-duper long-term plans to invest my money to a very profitable business. I decided to give myself a break and chill out for all summer, then with whole new forces to attack market with my venture.

But… it was never destined to happen. On August 17th, Russian economy collapsed, ruble got devaluated, Russia’s government imprisoned (I wish LOL). It was called the 1998 Default. Many businesses went bankrupt so did my father’s. You see, Russian economy was very much (and still is) pegged to the US dollar. If on August 16th the exchange rate was 1:6, meaning that for one dollar you could have 6 rubles, on the next day it was 1:30. Amazing, isn’t it? Considering that all settlements were carried out in USD, no wonder why lots of businessmen lost everything.

So all I had to do was shove my plans up my butt (excuse my French) and find a J.O.B. All my American savings went to save my family budget. I got a pretty nice job to teach people computer stuff (computer was always in my blood).

Here comes Power of the Internet…

Later on, in 2000 I enrolled into Russian State University of oil and gas and headed to Moscow. I didn’t graduate from there. It’s a pretty prestigious university in Russia, but unfortunately it’s stuffed with Soviet style theorists who never smelled oil in their life. But my main point here is that is when I realized the true power of the Internet. As soon as I got access to a decent speed connection to a World Wide Web, I started making money.

It wasn’t very profitable at first so I had a J.O.B. and was doing Internet Marketing part time. One of my mistakes was that I concentrated my earnings in the Russian Internet zone. Now let me get things clear for you here. Russian Internet Marketing is a TOTALLY different world comparing to normal marketing. It’s lagged far behind in development and is pretty much tangled. Someday I could probably write a nice fat report about features and pitfalls of Russian Internet Marketing. Don’t get me wrong. I was making money and my profits were growing every month, but the whole process was very unstable and insecure. Sometimes I would lose lots of my earned cash just because some payment processor would suspend my account without any good reason, or just go out of business. Or some affiliate network turns out to be a scam. The list goes on and on…

From the stone age into Real Marketing

A couple years ago I realized that I can't afford this "luxury" of instability, because I needed to stay at home with my pregnant wife. Therefore I fired my boss and the Internet became my only source of income. I desperately needed expansion...

One of my good ol’ buddies Andrew made a fortune with Ezine Marketing. So I asked him if he could teach me some of this stuff. He didn’t mind. This is when I started my real Internet Marketing journey. I started making money with Ezine Marketing and Clickbank right away. But I think I was lucky I had an awesome coaching before investing my money. Should I have started on my own, I would probably have lost it.

Then I went exploring many different ways and tactics of earning money online. I bought a ton of various courses, reports, software tools etc. Unfortunately, I can say that only 10 to 20% of them were really worth it…

Final Word

Qui non proficit, deficit. This great phrase has become my motto about 5 years ago and it keeps me moving through all the difficulties and obstacles. In exact translation from Latin it goes like “He who does not advance, go backwards”. So let’s only advance and never go backwards.

Let me share one more awesome quote with you. “To act and act wisely when the time for action comes, to wait and wait patiently when it is time for repose, put man in accord with the rising and falling tides (of affairs), so that with nature and law at his back, and truth and beneficence as his beacon light, he may accomplish wonders. Ignorance of this law results in periods of unreasoning enthusiasm on the one hand, and depression on the other. Man thus becomes the victim of the tides when he should be their Master”. Please reread it a couple of times. Amazing, isn’t it? This was said by Helena Blavatsky, and she really had some awesome knowledge.

What I’m trying to say here is this: on the one hand in order to achieve your goals you need to work real hard. On the other, don’t try to grasp the immensity as it could turn out deplorably. We need to find that golden mean in order to become the true Masters of Our Time!

Wow, this turned out be a pretty big article. I hope you didn’t yawn more than five times while reading it :)  I would like to say Thank You for visiting my Faceplate and being my follower! Feel free to leave me a comment and let me get to know you better as well!
