The Traditional Format of Best Man Speeches

The traditional best man speech format is to start off by introducing yourself, and telling how you know the groom and how long. After this introduction, it is typical to turn to the newlyweds, and thank the family of the bride, and the guest. Then, grab the audiences attention with a short story, preferably humorous, recalling a moment from the groom's yesteryears . . . and may be also including a story about his love for his new bride. Once the story is over, remind the audience about how great the new couple is together, then comes the actual toast itself. The toast of the traditional best man speech format is simply a quote about love, and wishing the happy couple a long life. Keep the overall speech under five minutes, and you will be remembered for giving an outstanding speech. The traditional version of best man speeches format is the most popular among best men though the majority of the best men would want their speeches to be humorous at the same time. And it's not at all difficult to add some funny elements in your speech to make it more engaging.
