How to Use Bathroom Accessories in La Mesa Turn a Dated Bathroom into a Stylish One

Sep 19th 2015 at 4:27 AM

If stepping into your bathroom sends you into a panic and makes you hyperventilate, you may start fantasizing about a huge and potentially expensive remodel. Have no fear, however. There may be another way. Here are some basic tips for using bathroom accessories in La Mesa to turn your dated bathroom into a stylish and serene spot.

If you have some old wooden milk crates lying around or know where to find some, then you have the makings of a beautiful shabby chic bathroom accessory right there. Put one on the ground for spare toilet paper and towel storage or hang on the wall for a shelving unit that adds appeal and interest to your loo.

A nightstand or end table that you aren’t using anymore or can spare for your bathroom is the perfect size for bathroom accessories. Better yet, if you have a nightstand with a drawer or cabinet, hide away your styling products such as blow dryers and flat irons in the drawer with a hole at the back so you can keep them plugged in and hidden away when not in use.

Is your shower caddy leaving much to be desired? An inexpensive hanging fruit basket can do the trick and hold your loofahs, soaps, rubber duckies, and anything else you might need in the shower or tub. As a bonus, hanging these items from the ceiling means you get to keep it off the edge of the bathtub and you don’t need to take up space in your shower either.

Take a second look at your silverware drawer. Then look at your top drawer in your bathroom. One is probably far more organized than the other, right? One thing that you can do is get a second silverware insert for your bathroom drawers to keep things neat and organized. Although guests (hopefully) won’t be rummaging through your drawers, you will feel better knowing that there is a place for everything and everything is in its place.

If you have counter space on your bathroom vanity, consider using some of the mismatched serving pieces in your kitchen or that you find at yard sales and thrift shops as bathroom accessories. Vintage is all the rage right now which means that the older things are the better. Take that old teacup from your childhood tea set your grandmother got you and use it to store cotton swabs or toothbrushes. That vase that you have been hanging onto for years could be the perfect vessel for hair brushes and combs.
