The Gold Coast waters of South Eastern Queensland
Australia are warm, clean, diverse and productive to
anybody who enjoys the sport of fishing. These
lovely blue waters have abundant seafood to give
up to those anglers who know how, when, where
and what to catch.
As a local fisherman who has travelled and fished
most of the coastline of Australia successfully,
I can honestly say that I have had some of my
most memorable, best and most enjoyable fishing
expeditions right here on the Gold Coast.
I am not talking about having to go miles and
miles offshore either, the majoritory of trips have
been undertaken in small tinnies 12 to 15 feet.
I have covered the areas from the Tweed to North
Stradbroke Island, and from the Broadwater venturing
offshore to approx 5 kilometers.
Of course local Knowledge and skill is still definately
an asset in fishing and the Gold Coast is no different.
Some of the species I have chased and caught off
the Gold Coast include,Tuna,Mackeral,Marlin,Wahoo,
Snapper,Mulloway,ect,plus inshore fish like
Recreational fishing is a wonderful sport to partake
in and I love what I do and will continue to do it.
There is somewhat of a miscoception going around
Australia that because of the population growth of
South East Qld the GoldCoast is all fished out,NOT TRUE!
I sometimes feel frustrated when I hear this, the truth
is that, there are fantastic beautiful fish to be caught
easily enough if you have a little bit of insider knowledge,
which I intend to share with you.
The Gold Coast waters are of course vulnerable, just like
all other coastal waters, but if we all obey the rules and
limits, and respect the environment,I am sure that there is
enough for us all to enjoy.
My experience of fishing the GoldCoast has always been a
pleasant one,and though of course I cannot guarantee
that you will always catch fish everytime you venture out.
I can guarantee to those who visit this site
http://fishingthegoldcoast.com will learn information that
will make your fishing expeditions easier and more productive.
