· Avoid sharing financial details: you might be habitual of letting your spouse or ex spouse taking care of finances and bank accounts, but it is time for you to take things in your own hand. Set up your own bank account, deposit your income to it and avoid sharing any financial details with your spouse.

 

· Discuss with lawyer: do not take any step without discussing it with the lawyer. This will prevent you from making mistakes and taking wrong decisions.
