The unbelievable story maker is Gina Champion-Cain whose loved father was a real estate project developer and was quite linked with the-then industry. Apart from Patio on Lamont Street, very recently Gina has introduced her second bistro The Patio on Goldfinch and she is now the Chairman and CEO of Patio group of restaurants. Her project LuvSurf offers diversified services such as, vacation rentals, coffee roasting, coffee café and the different coffee company, The Swell Roasting Company, LLC. Gina is also developing the newest concepts in women casuals and attires.
Gina is the part and parcel of the well acknowledged real estate company American National Investments where she is now the CEO and chairperson. Here, she is chiefly responsible to the developments and management related issues ranging from construction planning, acquisition, scheduling of different plans under each project and is responsible to oversee progression, advice higher officials and more. Previously, Gina was attached with the big corporate Koll Company and worked for it as the Executive Vice President as well as Senior Vice President. Activities like formulation of marketing plans; project management, budgeting, and communication with international clients were some of the areas where she worked quite efficiently and successfully in Koll.
Gina Champion-Cain holds a BA degree in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Michigan. She completed her MBA from the University of San Diego and a JD from the Californian Western School of Law. This major personality has received a number of Honors and Awards in her lifetime from different universities and societies and corporate bodies. Out of them a few are like, Author E. Hughes Career Achievement Award, University of San Diego 2003; ‘Top Female Professional of San Diego’ and ‘Woman who mean Business Award’ from San Diego Magazine and The San Diego Business Journal, respectively.
Gina Champion-Cain is associated with different societies and corporate advisory boards like the Board Director and member of Policy Advisory Board of the Real Estate Institute under University of San Diego. She received special honor ‘Tribute to Women and Industry Award’ from YWCA in January 2002. She is also associated with Alpha Delta Pi, Sailing team and Field Hockey. The San Diego’s Woman Magazine has covered her life history and activities as the top business entrepreneur of San Diego. The publication house has honored her as its ‘cover girl’ in its special issue.
