Warning: Broken Links Can Be Hazardous To Your Health
If it ain't broke...
Sometimes it’s okay to look back on the past.
Imagine you are painting. It can be a landscape, a portrait. Whatever you want it to be. But imagine you have just completed it.
What do you do? You take a step back to look at it. You examine it, scrutinize it. Maybe you even admire it.
Eventually, at some point in the future, you might even revisit it and repeat the process. Does it still look as good as you thought it was? If you were to paint it now, is there something you would do differently?
Do you do the same things with your blog posts?
Sure, most people look over their work when it is completed, right before they put it up. However, it is important that you check your site periodically. You may find broken links, you might gain an idea or two for a new post, you may want to resurrect an old one.
It’s better that you notice a mistake than that your subscribers have to tell you. I can think of much better ways to make sure that they are visiting your site and actually interacting with it.
So, make sure to check things out periodically. Besides, who knows, you might find – GASP - an insightful comment that someone left that you haven’t yet responded to.
I know, but it COULD happen.
(Make sure to leave YOUR comments.)
