Your Kiss Is On My List
GT Bulmer © Affiliate Power Central
First off, just so you know, this article is not about that great 80s song by Hall and Oates with the title, “Kiss On My List.” But if you will stay with me for a minute, you will see how that title did inspire this article.
The lyrics to the song are sparse and repetitious and do not tell much of a story. All we know is that the singer is thinking of somebody special and a kiss from that person means a lot to them. There is some kind of a relationship going on, but we don’t really know what it is.
Tonight, while I was doing some other research for my home-based Internet business, the words in the title (and the tune of that song) popped into my head and it suddenly made me think of the relationship between my website, Affiliate Power Central (APC), and my targeted audience of Internet Marketers and home business income enthusiasts.
I started thinking about my website statistics and the number of unique visitors APC gets each day. In a way, each daily visit is like a “kiss” from the individual.
(LOL, keep in mind that my perspective on things is sometimes a little “different” and it is, after all, after midnight as I write this “inspired” piece of personal introspection!)
Visitors are attracted to my website through some means, such as a post on a social networking site, a signature in a forum, an article in a directory, or a banner or ad out there somewhere on the World Wide Web.
Whatever it is that gets their attention, they click a link and visit Affiliate Power Central, giving me a “kiss” in the process. I know that’s a weird way to look at it, but hey, that’s me. I warned you.
Well, I happen to like that kind of attention. Whether your kiss is one of affection because you like me (you really like me), or it’s simply an obligatory gesture, like those given at formal parties, I truly appreciate it. The more kisses you care to give my website, the better I like it! And with respect to website visits, gender is no issue with me. ;-)
Now you know exactly why I say, “Your kiss is on my list.” I am hoping you will visit APC. Today.
There’s no telling where our relationship could go from there. It might blossom into a wonderful thing! (For example, if you sign up for my APC newsletter, join one of my marketing plans, or purchase something.)
Even if none of those things happen, you might find that my website is a “comfortable place” to visit. You will read a blog post or two, enjoy the experience and want to return again another day. That would truly delight me.
Before I close this IM faceplate article, there is one more “kiss” I would like to mention; another kiss you can give me right now. That’s the kiss of the “Like” button that you see below this post. If you have found any degree of entertainment or inspiration in this article, then please, by all means, give me a kiss! (Again, gender is not an issue here.)
To restate what Hall and Oates said in their song, “If you insist on knowing my bliss, I’ll tell you this; your kiss is on my list.” Now, kiss me, silly!
